Hockey Info Prestigious Hockey Awards Padam Bhushan Award
The Padam Bhushan is awarded to recognize distinguished service of a high order to the nation, in any field. On its obverse, the words "Padma" and "Bhushan", in Hindi, appear above and below the lotus flower. The geometrical pattern on either side is in burnished bronze. All embossing is in standard gold. First Padam Bhushan Award in the of Hockey was Given to hockey wizard Mr. Dhayan Chand.
A series of rumors about my attitude, as well as derogatory remarks about myself and my family showed me that the personal resentment of the Detroit general manager toward me would make it impossible for me to continue playing hockey in Detroit.
