NRI Satnam Singh Sandhu to sponsor ALTO Car every year for Spectators at Surjit Hockey Tournament. Jalandhar, Sept. 23 : US-based NRI Satnam Singh Sandhu will sponsor ALTO car for spectators every year in the Surjit Hockey Tournament. The announcement was made following a high-level meeting held here today. The meeting was attended by key members of the Surjit Hockey Society, including Working President Lakhwinder Pal Singh Khaira, General Secretary Surinder Singh Bhapa, Vice President Ramneek Singh Randhawa (Chairman, Improvement Trust, Jalandhar), CEO Iqbal Singh Sandhu, and Secretary Ranbir Singh Tut. The detailed discussions were held with NRI Satnam Singh Sandhu regarding the preparations for the prestigious Surjit Hockey Tournament. Sandhu, an alumnus of the State College of Sports, Jalandhar, also known as 'Satta Bhalwan,' announced the sponsorship of ALTO car every year for the spectators of the Surjit Hockey Tournament. Sandhu stated that under the catchy slogan "Watch Surjit Hockey - Win ALTO Car," this initiative aims to increase spectator attendance and add excitement to the event. The car will be awarded to a lucky spectator attending the tournament, which is scheduled to be held from October 23 to all, at the Surjit Hockey Stadium in Burlton Park. Sandhu, who shared a deep bond with the legendary Olympian Surjit Singh, expressed his desire to give back to the sport and the community. Iqbal Singh Sandhu, CEO of the Society said that this car sponsorship is expected to significantly boost spectator participation in the tournament, ensuring a grand celebration of hockey and the enduring legacy of Olympian Surjit Singh. On this occasion Sukhwinder Singh Lally, Ram Partap, Guriqbal Singh Dhillon were also present.
